CBD and THC are both phytocannabinoids, natural compounds that come from the cannabis genus of plants, but they differ in a few important ways. They have very different effects and vary in their level of legality.
Let’s explore some of the myths around CBD and THC.
What is CBD? How is it Different from THC?
What is CBD? Cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) are both natural compounds called phytocannabinoids that are found within the cannabis genus of plants. CBD and THC both act on our body’s endocannabinoid system, which closely interacts with our immune and central nervous systems.
CBD and THC are extracted from different varieties of cannabis plants. Most CBD is specifically extracted from hemp, which produces very little THC. At Charlotte’s Web, we grow our hemp plants to produce less than 0.3% THC, which is the legal limit.
